Down under in Blanco County, Texas

I found this vertical cave on our land. It is located on one of the highest points in our county. One day, I noticed a depression in a cactus bed and became curious. After removing the cactus and dirt, I found this cave. It is 7 feet deep. But it could go deeper and wider because all the dirt that filled in over time. Maybe some day I'll finish what I started. No telling what kind of treasures I'll uncover.

  1. Yes it was an amazing find!. One day I went down inside with the help of an archeologists and a neighbor of mine. I was inside clearing out dirt that had filled in over who knows how long and started finding artifacts 6 inches down. After a few hours I had only taken the area around me one foot deep. However, I had a pole with me and could stick it deep inside all around me so it seems to be pretty big. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting out so for now I've sealed it off until I can get more people and some sort of pulley system to lift me out. We all did agree however that we felt it could be a Native American burial site. Time will tell.
