Another summer is here, and I'm amazed at how anything can survive through the years. Blanco County has been in a drought, most of it severe. Unfortunately, we did lose a few trees, but considering what they've been through, besides the terrible drought, that's not too bad. Winter storm Uri, another ice storm and a terrible wind storm were also rough on our trees. And then there was the fire that came close, so close that the flames were across the road. Thankfully, the Blanco Fire Department arrived in the nick of time.

NATIVE PLANTS STILL SURVIVING THE TERRIBLE DROUGHT
Another summer is here, and I'm amazed at how anything can survive through the years. Blanco County has been in a drought, most of it severe. Unfortunately, we did lose a few trees, but considering what they've been through, besides the terrible drought, that's not too bad.
